Tax Office Pisses Me Off Majorly Pt. 2

First off let me start this off on a good note. Make it a great note. I went to a "festival" last night. This is pretty much just a huge party in someone's back yard with a crapload of bands. The highlights were the opening band who was more bluegrass based. Then as the night went on there was a band called Ko from Charleston who was absolutely amazing. There were other bands there but none of them really stuck out. Also the only price was 5 dollars for a cup and you could drink all you want. They had 2 kegs and they were tapped around 11:30, the cops came around 1 to tell the bands they couldn't play anymore. It was a great time. Well, while I was there I got a phone call from a friend. She was wanting to know if I wanted to see the Dead tonight in Greensboro. The answer was yes. The spare ticket that her friends had was only 30 dollars. So far so good. Now for the part that pisses me off. The people that had the ticket needed someone with a car. I have a car but with an expired temp tag. A temp tag that I won't drive out of state because honestly I don't have the money for a ticket. So now I am not goin to see the Dead. Which I excepted a while back. The kicker is I could have seen and afforded it. Damn tax office being closed on Good Friday. Well happy Easter everyone.

Stupidity and the Tax Office

I am pissed off at the city of Greenville or is the state of South Carolina. So I went to pay taxes on my car today. I have temporary tags which expire on 4/10/2009. That is today. Apparently the place I have to go to pay the taxes is closed for Good Friday. The DMV across the street however was not closed. WTF?!?! The extremely kind lady at the DMV was telling me that the DMV had no idea that the tax office was going to be closed either. There were signs in the doors or anything saying that they were closed for Good Friday either. So now I am forced to drive with an expired temp tag for the weekend. I am also aware that I should not have waited till the last minute but my funds have been lower than normal. Which that is another story, in short I am entertaining the idea of looking for a new job or a second job.

On another note expect to see more concerts posted soon. I just received a crap load of Garcia stuff and I want to share the wealth. As a reminder, The Dead start spring tour tomorrow. So hopefully some more stats and more The Dead shows will be up on the 12th!!!!!

Megaman Vs. Metroid

Free Online Flash Games

z jumps x shoots

I have always loved Metroid. Megaman was always a fun game, just a little hard. Well here is the combination of the two classic games.

There is also a 2004 show for you guys to download as well.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FN894XDM 8-19-04 Atlanta

The Inaugural Ball show was well....bad. Still how often does the Vice President of the United States speak in the middle of a dead show.

The acoustic show is really good. Although, Bobby does mess up Dire Wolf pretty bad. Check out Bird Song. It is 20 minutes of pure acoustic bliss.

The other shows nothing really stood out too much. Althea was good at Roseland. Cassidy I think was the best played song of the night but the set seemed more of a tease to me.

That Atlanta show I was at. It was the last Dead show until the Deadheads For Obama show in 2008. Down The Road is a standout song from this show. I like it when Mickey sings. Its a fresh voice and his songs are usually rather fun. Please comment if you download.
